First of all, I can’t stress enough how little, as far as a writing staff or cast, were concerned about how the music is going. Like, we’re barely paying attention because obviously we’re scrambling to put together the comedy portion of the show

With that said, we were shocked at the backlash towards her. Like again, we’ve had all different kinds of performers on the show and for her to have what seemed like the most intense vitriolic reaction was hard for us to wrap our heads around. Like, I mean she looked like ethereal and spooky and in a way that made it seem like what she was aiming for. And she definitely might have seemed a little nervous, but that seemed toward going back and looking but it seems so weird that people were sort of angry about nervousness, as opposed to sympathetic.

Again, that’s all fine. The strangest thing to me was like, she wore the same outfit both times. Again, that was the thing we were like “oh wow, I can’t remember the last time a sort of, certainly anyone that would be catergorized as like a diva-songstress and not taken the opportunity to give us two looks.

But I like her songs and again, it’s a variety show and I so love the variety of the music and I love that there are people that are not for everyone and again, we were so fascinated and delighted by any time people love or hate someone.
